The ELXYRA 365-Day Warranty

We believe in what we make. Every ELXYRA Minicomb is covered by a 365-day extended warranty from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects and material faults — a full year of coverage, on top of your statutory rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Activating your extended warranty — registration required within 14 days

To benefit from the full 365-day extended warranty, your Minicomb must be registered with us within 14 calendar days from the date your order was delivered. Registration is free and takes one minute.

How to register:

  1. Send an email to hello@elxyra.com with the subject line "Warranty registration — [your order number]"
  2. Include in the body of the email:
    • Your full name
    • The email address used to place the order
    • Your order number (starts with #ELX)
    • The date your Minicomb was delivered
  3. We will confirm your registration within 24 hours (Mon–Fri) and your extended warranty will be active for 365 days from the delivery date

If you do not register your Minicomb within 14 days of delivery, the extended 365-day warranty does not apply. You will still be fully protected by your statutory rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 — including the 30-day right to a full refund for faulty goods and the 6-month presumption that any fault was present at the time of sale — but the additional months of cover provided by our brand warranty (months 7 through 12) will not be available.

This registration requirement allows us to verify proof of purchase, confirm the original buyer, and provide better post-sale support over the long extended period.

What the warranty covers

The 365-day warranty covers any failure caused by defects in materials or workmanship under normal, intended use. This includes:

  • Heating element failure (does not reach temperature, won't heat up)
  • Battery failure (won't hold charge after a full cycle, charges abnormally)
  • USB-C charging port faults
  • Internal electronics or wiring defects
  • Ceramic teeth detachment or cracking under normal use
  • On/off switch or temperature button malfunction

What the warranty does NOT cover

The warranty does not apply to issues caused by anything outside normal styling use, including:

  • Accidental damage, drops, impacts, or being sat on
  • Water damage or exposure to liquids (the Minicomb is not waterproof)
  • Use of non-original charging cables or adapters that damage the battery
  • Unauthorised repairs, modifications, or opening of the device
  • Cosmetic wear (scratches, scuffs on the casing or travel case)
  • Use on wet hair, or with hairsprays/oils applied directly while heated
  • Damage caused by exposure to extreme temperatures (left in a hot car, etc.)
  • Normal wear of consumables (travel case, charging cable)
  • Products purchased from unauthorised sellers (only items bought from elxyra.com are covered)

How to claim under warranty

If your Minicomb develops a fault within 365 days of purchase, here is what to do:

  1. Email us at hello@elxyra.com within 7 days of noticing the issue
  2. Include in your email:
    • Your order number (starts with #ELX)
    • A clear description of the fault
    • 2–3 photos or a short video showing the issue
    • Confirmation that the device has been used as intended (dry hair only, original charger, etc.)
  3. Our team will reply within 24 hours (Mon–Fri) with next steps
  4. If we agree the issue may be covered, you will be asked to return the unit to our UK address at your own cost (tracked shipping recommended). We will provide the address by email
  5. Once received and verified, we will repair or replace the unit
  6. If the fault is confirmed as a covered manufacturing defect, we will refund the cost of your return shipping and cover the cost of sending the repaired or replacement unit back to you
  7. If on inspection the issue is not covered under this warranty (e.g. accidental damage, misuse, water exposure), we will contact you with a quote for a paid repair or return the unit to you at your cost
  8. Estimated turnaround: 7–14 working days from receipt of the unit

Repair or replacement — our discretion

Under the 365-day warranty, ELXYRA reserves the right to choose whether to repair the existing unit, replace it with a new or equivalent refurbished unit, or — where neither is practical — refund the original purchase price. The warranty period of the replacement unit continues from the original purchase date (it does not reset).

Your statutory rights — UK Consumer Rights Act 2015

This 365-day warranty is offered in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under UK consumer law. In particular, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 entitles you to:

  • A refund within 30 days of receipt if the product is faulty (handled via our Refund Policy)
  • A repair or replacement within 6 months if the product develops a fault that was present at the time of sale
  • A reasonable expectation of durability across the product's expected lifespan

Proof of purchase

To process any warranty claim, we require valid proof of purchase from elxyra.com. This is your order confirmation email or the order number from your account. We cannot honour warranty claims for items purchased through third-party sellers, marketplaces, or unauthorised resellers.

International orders

For orders shipped outside the United Kingdom, the warranty still applies but the customer is responsible for any return shipping costs to our UK address. We will cover the cost of sending the repaired or replacement unit back to you.

Limitations of liability

ELXYRA's liability under this warranty is limited to the repair, replacement, or refund of the Minicomb. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the product. Nothing in this warranty excludes or limits ELXYRA's liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud — your statutory rights are not affected.
